Hotel

Far from the restlessness and constrictions of today’s city life, surrounded by forest as far as the eye can see and close to the clouds: This historical site still is as “hoch und froh” (high and merry) as Goethe once experienced it. It is the special feat of this house, to have created out of this unmistakable motif of landscape and architecture, a composition that speaks to all the senses.
The Wartburg has retained its friendly hospitality, since the times of the first pilgrims that knocked on its doors. Welcome, service and a good night’s lodging have always been - and still are - a well-kept tradition at the Hotel auf der Wartburg.

Now, after ninety years as the „Gasthof für fröhliche Leut“ (guesthouse for merry people) the Hotel auf der Wartburg presents itself once again as a place of comfort, of calm and merriment.
As a guest, to feel comfortable and secure as if at home might have become a rare thing – but it is not impossible.
