Wappensaal

The Wappensaal (hall of heraldry) is the ideal site for large festivities and events and because of its historical mural paintings is rightly considered Thuringia’s most beautiful hall. Well-known master craftsman Leo Schnug from Strasbourg created a colourful, often symbolic world of medieval thought that gives the room, which stretches over two storeys, a unique atmosphere.

All this is at the most outdone by the spectacular view of the Thuringian forest’s heights as well as the Rhön mountains and far into the province of Hesse.
